We have received reports about suspicious e-mails that direct our customers to websites asking for personal account information.

Please be very cautious of such e-mails and websites. These are fake e-mails and websites created by scammers engaged in phishing and their purpose is to trick individuals into providing personal account details.

Read through the following for a list of things you can easily do in order to keep your personal information secure.

Do not share your personal information such as your user name, passwords, and e-mail address with anybody.
Do not share any of your credit card details such as the 3-digit security code found at the back of the card and/or the credit card expiry date.
Change your PIN regularly, and do not share it with anyone.
Don’t choose an obvious combination for your PIN. Avoid using your birthday, any other significant date, “1234,” last four digits of a phone number, and the like.
Memorize your PIN. Avoid writing it down.
Cover your hand when you key in or type your PIN.
When using the bank ATM, never ask help or accept assistance from strangers. Seek assistance from any of our bank personnel with a valid ID.
Keep an eye on your card when you hand it over for in-store transactions.
Immediately report to the bank any card loss, or any suspicious transaction in your account.
Should you receive suspicious e-mails, calls or letters requesting for your account information, please report these immediately to BPI Express Phone at 89-100 or send a personal message via our official BPI Facebook and Twitter accounts.
